Representatives of the European Industrial Cluster (EIC) participated in the forum International Technical Fair 2019 in Plovdiv, which took place over several days from September 23 to September 28. The event is one of the most established in the exhibition industry in Southeast Europe, a key for creating business contacts and a starting point for emerging markets. The most promising trends in the modern economy were presented with exhibitions of innovative technologies, machines and modern solutions for industry and home.

On April 19 2019, an international meeting-discussion was held at VFU “Chernorizets Hrabar”, whom discussed innovative construction technologies and design, as well as environmental and safe solutions in modern engineering. In the second part of the event, Antonio Tarquinio was invited to present “transparent cement”, an innovative product with different properties. Eng. On 16.07.2018 has been signed Cooperation Agreement between Varna University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, and “EIC” association .

The purpose of the Agreement is to assists the University and the Association in the development and implementation of new technologies in the field of machine building , development and integration of robot technologies and advanced CNC manufacturing together with Varna Technical University.

The University and the Association will organizing and conducts pre-graduation and post graduation courses of students and employees of the Association in the field of manufacturing technologies by developing and introducing new manufacturing technologies and software products in the field of metalworking, machine-building and steel construction.

“EIC” association will provides support and participates in joint research projects to develop new environmentally friendly production technologies and software products developed by the students and research institutes by integrating them directly to the production facilities of the members of the Association.

The association will carry out all necessary steps in order to produce , test and protect by patents all joint projects.

Together with that it was agreed that the students will be helped for the production of prototypes and carry out field tests in the facilities of the companies of the Association.

The agreement also offers the opportunity to occupy vacant positions of successfully represented students after graduation.

The unusually good for the island weather marked the start of Subcon Expo – the biggest engineer exhibition at the United Kingdom. EIC made a brilliant presence, and made direct contacts with the owners and managers of various scale English companies.

The focus of the discussions were a number of EIC achievements, the big opportunities of such an economical structure, which is the industrial cluster, and the smooth logistics organization of the outsourcing projects.

Personally the CEO of EIC – Mr. Deian Tashev – represented the technological capabilities of the cluster, and some of the already finished EIC projects before his future customers. The definite strong interest from the future English contractors has paved the way for the successful cooperation between Bulgaria and UK.

EIC Board have participated to the conference Smart Specialisation and Technology Transfer as Innovation Drivers for Regional Growth in Sofia.

Smart specialisation, technology transfer and digital economy – investments in research, innovation and human capital are key priority areas for boosting jobs and growth.
Opportunities and challenges of innovation and Europe’s response to them are the topics of this conference, with a focus on South-East Europe, including the Western Balkans, and for constructive dialogue between institutions and businesses.
